just so y’all know.. i’m re-designing the vampire sushi website because people keep forgetting to add postage and i figured it must be cos you’re not constantly reminded of the postage.. so i’m redesigning it in frames. old school style. but that does mean it will be even less print out or mobile web friendly :( ugh. so many things to keep in mind. stupid technological advances.

hey could y’all buy some zines so i can feel less guilty about really really wanting to / so i can pre-order the internet forever album? oh and order some new zines! i’ve got a massive list of zines i wanna distro asap and i only have about £20 in the paypal account after paying amber :/

yesterday i received a nice big pile of culture slut #25s & cunt patches from amber. and of course i couldn’t wait to read the zine, and ended up spilling left over curry all over the copy i was reading during lunch. typical. probably lunch while pissed off with boss & wanting to quit wasn’t the safest place to read it, but.. it was culture slut! i’ve been looking forward to reading this for.. well since #24 i guess. excellent but rougher read than usual. *hugs*

i’ll probably end up updating the distro website sometime after chrimbo. still got stuff to bake and presents to wrap. and i’m rubbish like that.. but we’ll see.

vampire sushi birthday cakes <3

i just finally finished diddling with vampire sushi #2. it’s ready to print tomorrow during lunch. just need to sneakily print one picture (this actually) at work, resize a couple of pages at the printers and PRINT PRINT PRINT.

i really wanted to print it today since today is vampire sushi’s 2nd birthday but i just didn’t finish it last night, and i knew monday was going to be hella busy at work so i didn’t wanna stay up til stupid o’clock (though i did stay up til 1am) i was rather hoping for some sleep tonight but fuck that.

i shall be announcing a special birthday giveaway on the blog tomorrow so keep yr eyes peeled! but now it’s 22 to 3am and i’m going to bed with goblet of fire and a sneaky cake.

VAMPIRE SUSHI #2 COMPILATION ZINE still desperately needs your submissions! we have extended the deadline until 23rd OCTOBER now (since the original deadline was almost two weeks ago and we’ve received none…)

so yes, we are looking for drawings, photographs, collages, embroidery, anything! also considering horror stories and reviews of horror films! also, pictures / drawings of your past and present halloween costumes! the main theme is vampires but other monsters & horror creatures / themes are welcome too. anything related to twilight is not welcome, unless its taking the piss out of sparkly ‘vampires’.

the zine will be quarter size / a6 but your piece doesn’t have to be necessarily, we’re perfectly able to resize things on the photocopier or in photoshop before we print it for the flats. you can either email us artwork in digital form or mail it (email us for the address).

we’d especially love zinesters we distro to take part in this compilation.
